About the event

Many officers are unsure how to enforce traffic laws when it comes to trucks. This course is designed to teach officers to treat trucks like large cars. Students will be taught the very basics to be able to complete a crash report, enforce speeding violations, and be comfortable stopping and enforcing traffic laws on commercial vehicles.

  • Definition of a truck
  • Understanding registration
  • Commercial Driver’s License
  • Completing a crash report
  • Traffic signs specifically for trucks
  • Impaired driving and commercial vehicles

This class will be taught by Illinois Truck Enforcement Association certified police officers.
